Subscribing to the DNKYBongsTV underground hip hop podcast feed puts every show on the network into whatever app you already use. One subscription covers all of it — no separate feeds to chase, no checking the site to see whether something new went up.

The feed runs on open RSS, which means it works in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Castbox, YouTube Music and anything else that accepts a URL. Nothing is paywalled at the feed level and nothing requires an account.

What’s in the Feed

Gemwork Radio is the flagship — new independent releases, artist interviews and culture conversation, weekly. The Discussion runs longer-form conversations about music, culture and the industry. Til The Tape Pops goes behind the recording and mixing process with the engineers and producers doing the work. AfroScne covers African and African-descended history, culture and achievement. The World Eclectic spotlights a different artist each episode.

Together they’re the audio half of the network. The written half lives at G.U.M.M. Magazine, and the two overlap constantly — a conversation on air often becomes a reported feature a few weeks later.

Why an Open Feed

Plenty of independent media has moved behind proprietary platforms that own the audience relationship. This underground hip hop podcast feed deliberately hasn’t. If a platform changes its terms, disappears or decides the network isn’t worth recommending, the feed keeps working and the listeners come with it. That’s worth more than whatever promotion an exclusivity deal buys.

New Music First

So do winners from Sound Check, where listeners vote on which unreleased track comes out first. Subscribing is the simplest way to hear things early without watching a release calendar.

Beyond the Feed

If you want more than episodes — early access to releases, community events, members-only material — join the network. Artists with finished work can submit music for radio, playlist and editorial consideration, and approved DJs can pull promotional versions through DJ Access.
